Our History

Seafield was established in 1947 by the Braddick family, and is still run by the family today. Hobart Braddick and his son Leslie opened the site for business in 1947, with chalets and caravans. Some of these chalets still stand today, including our Kipling and Lundy View villas.

Through the generations...

A face many of our regular customers know is Ian Braddick, who started working in the family business at a very early age. His passion for the holiday trade still lives on today, as you will regularly see Ian in the Seafield Reception greeting customers.

You’ll often see Ian’s youngest son Ben in Seafield’s Reception as he oversees the day-to-day running of the park. He is ably assisted by his brothers James and Steven. Together, Ian’s sons strive to make your holidays enjoyable for many more years to come.

The photograph on the left shows Ian Braddick with one of his grandchildren Bethan who has worked at the holiday park since 2018.

Park Map

Seafield Holiday Park is perfectly perched on the North Devon coastline, offering stunning, uninterrupted views across the expanse of Bideford Bay. Our unique site features 43 holiday units and 42 residential units thoughtfully arranged over 3 ½ acres of lush coastal grounds.

Getting here is a breeze via the A39 Atlantic Highway, which leads you straight toward the charming village of Westward Ho! Once you arrive, you’ll find yourself a mere stone’s throw from the water’s edge and just a gentle 5-minute stroll from the golden sands of the beach.
